Collaborating with Winett Realty Partnership, Jim Sandell was the architect for the design of a cluster of 14 homes in a rural New England setting. Located in one of the region's oldest suburban areas, the design of the homes respects the traditional architecture of the surrounding neighborhoods while incorporating the contemporary ideas of energy conservation and passive solar technology. Locating the homes in a cluster at the edge of the Pond allowed for the conservation of 60% of the site and preserved the breathtaking views of the surrounding open meadow and pond.
