Carr, Lynch, and Sandell, working closely with the owner, designed the building and Marina at the end of Commercial Wharf in the center of the Boston Harbor. The new14,000 square foot timber frame marina building incorporated the owner's program: Restaurant and bar, Marina office, locker rooms with amenities for Marina users and crew's quarters. The building was constructed on a new pier, extending commercial wharf into the harbor, while maintaining public access to the harbor walk around the perimeter.
