A new waterway defined by created islands provides access to the water's edge as well as a new protected route for small boats. Three meadows with extensive perennial planting are ideal for relaxation and picnicking, and provide opportunities for informal sports. The waterfront esplanade and the bikeway along the city edge of the park provide connections to the other parklands and tho the harbor. The large playground is an exciting play environment for different age groups on the Charles River.
