Lowell Heritage State Park

Lowell, MA

Carr, Lynch and Sandell partner, James Sandell, while working with architect R.M. Margolis, designed, developed and constructed 60 homes on existing farmland near a historic district and the Charles River. Clustering the homes allowed sixty percent of the open fields to be preserved and provided for the conservation of natural environment. Generously scaled and thoughtfully laid out interiors, and great expanses of windows afford views of the surrounding countryside at every turn. Completed in 1988, the homes were built at a total construction value of $24 million.
