Carr, Lynch and Sandell prepared a Master Plan for the development of a sixty-acre resort community on Rodney Bay, St. Lucia. The design responded to the unique qualities of the spectacular steeply sloped site with indigenous Caribbean architecture. A hotel and clustered villas focus on a marina, restaurant, water garden, and beach. Buildings were designed in clusters to minimize their impact on the site. The first construction phase of the resort was a 60 unit cluster of one and two-bedroom hotel suites. Completed in 2002, the suites overlook Rodney Bay and the future water garden and restaurant.
