Carr, Lynch and Sandell' prepared a Master Plan for Bare Cove that defines a vision for the future mixed use development of a World War II ammunition depot site. Proposals for the 470-acre park include a park house, boat house, boat launch, beach, antique fire truck museum, interpretive trail and landscape conservation measures. For the 55-acre "School Depot" parcels, the plan proposes consolidated municipal facilities, rationalized roadways, athletic fields, field house, affordable housing, and a maintaining a site for future school. To meet future Town needs, the Plan recommends State land acquisition for a football stadium, hockey rink and parking fronting Route 3A.
