Carr, Lynch and Sandell's mission is to respond to our client's needs by working with them to develop creative, practical, and affordable design solutions.  Works vary in scale from the master planning of a region to design of a single family home.  Our objective is to create beautiful, livable places that are socially and environmentally responsible.  The firm's planning, urban design, and landscape design is recognized nationally.

Our architecture practice has a strong regional basis and character and is deeply rooted in the firm's planning and urban design base. We strive to create architecture that respects context and reinforces community.   One of our founders, Kevin Lynch (noted MIT professor of Urban Studies and Planning), stated that, "our role as designers is to help create a vision and then to define ways to attain it."  This remains a major underpinning of our firm's design philosophy.
